Trotuşului middle valley at the foothills of the Eastern Carpathians Gosmanu at the western end of Dărmăneşti Depression-Comăneşti conditions favorable environment were the foundation of human communities with many millennia ago. Here in this area is Comanesti former mining center and forestry. The city is surrounded by mountains Gosmanu north east of Berzunţi Mountains, south of Nemira Mountains and southwest of Ciuc Mountains.

THE TOURIST OFFER OF THE VILLAGE:

COMĂNEŞTI historical monuments of the city are true historical documents, testimonies of the evolution of this city. The cultural heritage of the city still retains many historical and architectural monuments of incontestable value:

  • Ghika Palace in the last decade of the nineteenth sec.al by Dimitrie N.Ghika under the guidance of architect Albert Galleron (was the architect Athenaeum in Bucharest), baroque; Since January 1989 it is intended ethnographic museum;
  • Station building C.F.R. Comăneşti achieved in 1892.Construcţia suffered some damage during military operations in World War II but was restored in its entirety. A similar building exists in Europe Lusanne (Switzerland);
  • The town library her old building from 1910, with beautiful architectural aspect, formerly owned by Colonel Stephen Trandafil;
  • Comanesti City Hall - The building was owned by P.Polter until 1946, former administrator of the domain Ghika family;
  • The building which today operates Students' Club was built in 1906 and was home Brugher, representative of the Austrian associates coal mining enterprise Comăneşti;
  • Primary School in Lăloaia built in 1903

• In Comanesti is one of the heroes of the International Cemetery Romania, specially built in 1933 after the end of hostilities in World War I, where they gathered the bones of fallen heroes, regardless of which were part of the camp; Here lie 165 Romanian heroes, 46 German soldiers, Russian soldiers in 2141, 370 Hungarian soldiers and 191 Austrian soldiers;

• Trinity Heroes Commemorative War of Independence of 1877 and the First World War Comăneştiului located on the hill, built in the years 1925-1928;

• Monument in the churchyard of Lăloaia built between 1933-1938.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL REMAINS:

In addition to the architectural, within the locality is found in Vermesti (city district Comăneşti) Citadel archaeological site from the Bronze Age and Neolithic Cucuteni early Starcevo-Cris culture.
